Hi, I'm Laura. I've been a photographer so long I sometimes feel I see life through the lens even without a camera. I worked as a professional photographer for magazines after receiving a BFA in Photography from Art Center College of Design. Shooting travel, architecture, portrait, lifestyle, and food for magazines such as Travel & Leisure, Health, LA Times Magazine, Prevention, Shape, Travel Holiday, Viagem é Tourismo, Elle Brazil, and others. After we had our son 2004, he became my new subject of focus. I started creating simple elegant portraits of babies for family and friends and branched out to another form of photography.
While I do use photoshop and retouch images, all the images you see are the real positions of the babies. There are no composite photos. Out of respect for clients' privacy, I have never promoted my business on social media and posted clients' pics. I feel these images are yours to share if you choose. I update my website time to time with the permission of the parents.
Every session is guided by patience, care, and a love for simple, honest storytelling through the lens. I use limited props to enable the personality of your child to come through strongest. My goal is to capture the expressions that you cherish the most.
